About

A textile company bringing R&D and manufacturing under one roof

OPIA ECO Medikal Tekstil A.Ş. develops and produces medical, hygiene, hospitality and technical textile solutions at its manufacturing base in Türkiye.

Who we are

We combine natural, bio-based and recycled materials with our product development process. Our aim is to make the textile products organisations need from materials of known origin, in a way that fits each project.

Product selection, documents and quotations run through our specialist brands, each focused on its own field. OPIA ECO is the shared R&D and manufacturing base behind these brands.

OPIA ECO is led by a general surgeon. That detail shapes how the company sees its work: a product made to protect people should also look after nature.

That is why we bring health and sustainability into one vision. In every solution we develop for healthcare, hygiene and hospitality, we weigh hygiene, comfort and the origin of the material together.

So that nature can renew itself with every breath, we produce for a new future without fighting nature.

Our journey

  1. 2020

    R&D set-up

    Material and product development work began.

  2. 2025

    Facility and company

    Our manufacturing facility and company began operating on 5 August 2025; the year was devoted to trial and sample production.

  3. 2026

    Systems and conformity

    We have received our management system certificates; the conformity processes for medical devices and personal protective equipment are ongoing. The status of each process is shared together with its scope.

    Every product is developed knowing which material route it comes from.

    A result is presented together with the product, method and date it belongs to.

    Made to project

    Size, build, packaging and lead time are assessed separately for each project.

    Focus through specialist brands

    Each field is served by the brand that knows its needs best.

R&D and innovation

Our R&D work began in 2020. Today we carry out every step from material development to prototype at our facility in Türkiye, under the same roof as production; the same team takes an idea to sample and on to series production.

  • Cellulose-based fibres

    Turning fibres made from natural cellulose, such as lyocell, into yarn and fabric; the basis of the Q0 BIO route.

  • Recycled PET microfilament

    Fine microfilament surfaces from end-of-life PET; the basis of the Q0 ECO route.

  • Bio-based lamination

    Structures that bond layers with bio-based materials, and how they work with different surfaces.

  • Packaging materials

    Packaging materials developed with compostability as the goal. What happens to a pack after use is shared only with its own test report.

  • Hygiene and medical textiles

    Textile products for healthcare and hygiene settings. The status of the medical device and personal protective equipment conformity processes is on the Compliance & trust page.

  • Prototyping

    Trials of size, fabric weight, layers and structure, turned into samples to suit each project.

  • In-house checks

    We check tensile and breaking strength, liquid absorption capacity, friction and finished products at our facility. Independent laboratory tests follow the project and the scope of the document; each test applies only to the product in its report.

  • Publicly supported R&D

    Our R&D project is supported under TÜBİTAK TEYDEB, and KOSGEB Entrepreneur Business Development support has also been approved.
