Q0 ECO · the recycled PET route

From yesterday's waste to tomorrow's technical surface

Q0 ECO is the journey of end-of-life PET bottles as they are sorted, cleaned and turned into fine microfilament surfaces.

01Waste PET

A bottle becomes a raw material

Instead of remaining waste, end-of-life PET bottles become the starting point of new production.

The recycled content share is stated at product level.

02Sorting

The right material, the right stream

The collected material is separated by type and colour; foreign parts are removed from the stream.

Where sorting takes place is stated in the supply record.

03Washing

The pieces are cleaned

The sorted material is broken into small pieces and washed clean.

Results such as water use are shared only if measured, and with their scope.

04Granulate

A form ready for reprocessing

The cleaned material is melted and turned into granulate ready for new production.

The origin of the granulate is matched with its supply documentation.

05Microfilament

Very fine filaments

The very fine filaments made from the granulate give the surface a dense, uniform structure.

Technical values such as filament fineness are given in the product's technical documentation.

06Technical surface

From filaments to a nonwoven surface

The filaments are bonded together into a nonwoven technical textile surface; its construction is adjusted to the intended use.

Performance values are shared only with the relevant product's test report.

07In the product

Reusable performance

You will find Q0 ECO materials mostly in FRIGG's reusable textiles, and also in the ECO options from VOA and OWMO.

Why recycled PET?

Treating waste as a raw material is one way to reduce the use of new resources. Q0 ECO was developed to bring used PET into durable, reusable technical textiles.

We see waste not as rubbish but as the raw material of the future.
