The OPIA ECO manifesto
Doing no harm to nature is a beginning. But what if we could give something back?

01Origin
It all began with nature
The sun rises behind the mountains; a shoot reaches up out of the soil. Humanity's first cloth was woven from fibres given by the forest and the earth.

02The path of textiles
From field to loom
Cotton was gathered in the fields and became cloth on the looms. From hospital wards to relief tents, textiles have always stayed closest to people.

03Industry's shadow
The other face
Chimneys rose; bottles grew into mountains. The plastic that reached the sea grew smaller and smaller until it could no longer be seen, yet it never disappeared.

04The question
What if we made things differently?
We ask the same question on a hilltop, in our facility and behind a microscope: how can fibre serve people without weighing on nature?

05Everyday life
From hospital to relief parcel
In an operating theatre, a hotel room, a train and a relief parcel, the textiles we make meet people. The journey carries on with the generations to come.

Leadership
So that nature can renew itself with every breath, we produce for a new future without fighting nature.
